Frenchman Karim Benzema received a bad news after the end of Real's match against Barcelona rivals in the return leg of the King's Cup semi-final.

The Sport English website said Wednesday night was not good for the club's striker, for two reasons.

The source added that the first was due to a 3-0 defeat by Barca and his removal from the King's Cup. The second reason was that the 31-year-old's home was stolen.

The player's home, located in the capital Madrid, was robbed while playing for the club, according to a local channel.

The channel said that thieves exploited the presence of Benzema in the stadium, to carry out the theft, noting that the value of the stolen is not yet known.

She added that information about the process is still few, as the Spanish police are currently investigating the incident, to reach the criminals.

Benzema was not the first player to be robbed, as thieves surprised the homes of Liverpool star Senegalese defender Sadio Mani, Dutchman Memphis Debye and Kenyan striker Kevin Prince Boateng.
