Manufacturing defects in the "pregnancy test device" .. The despair and frustration dominate the thousands of women in Britain

The despair and frustration of thousands of women in Britain after being tested positive "positive counterfeit" tests have shown positive results, after they spread widely.

British officials warned on Thursday that 58,000 digital "clear & simple" digital tests, flawed in manufacturing, had made the result inaccurate, leaving the Chinese manufacturer pulling him out of the market.

The British Medicines and Health Care Products Regulatory Agency said tests gave false positive readings.

The agency, which monitors the safety of medical products, issued an alert on manufacturing error Thursday morning. She had received notice of withdrawal of the tests a month ago.

The Daily Mail newspaper, one of the British women who underwent an untested pregnancy test, continued to feel devastated after the "Clear & Simple" test proved to be false.

The 22-year-old British restaurant worker said her boyfriend was "very happy" when he learned of her pregnancy and that they were preparing to start a family.

The British Medicines and Health Care Products Agency urged all women who bought the product to re-test the pregnancy.

Wondfo Biotech, the maker of the product, has announced that it is withdrawing many digital "clear & simple" digital pregnancy tests, usually priced at between £ 3 and £ 4.

The manufacturer, based in the Chinese city of Guanzhou, estimates that more than 58,000 "defective" pregnancy tests have been distributed in the UK.

Healthpoint, a pregnancy test provider in the United Kingdom, confirmed in a statement that the pregnancy test recorded "false positive results."
